14 April 2012German wood briquetting, shredding and boiler technology was the thrust of woodworking machinery supplier JJ Smith’s marketing efforts at Ecobuild.
With timber frame volumes down, JJ Smith decided to show a Hocker Brikstar briquetter and show how companies can save on their woodwaste costs while also make a wood fuel product.
Hocker briquetters start at about £15,000, while a briquetter and Untha shredder is priced around £35,000.
“There are still a lot of woodworking companies out there putting their waste wood in a skip and it going to landfill,” said director Martin Smith.
