Brazil tops coniferous plywood quota allocation

The Timber Trade Federation has published a statistical breakdown of UK imports under the now exhausted EU coniferous plywood quota.

The data shows Brazilian products led the way with 141,911m3 allocated under the quota, up from 134,089m3 in 2011.

China was the next biggest with 12,406m3 allocated, down from 14,156m3 a year ago. Canada was third with a 1,088m3 allocation (2011: 1,571m3).

The only two other countries to feature were Russia and New Zealand with 574m3 and 40m3 respectively.
