ConFor to build on strong start to 2008

8 February 2008

ConFor has achieved a strong start to 2008, continuing its upturn in 2007, according to chief executive Stuart Goodall.

ConFor said subscriptions from timber processors had increased in 2007, which helped it raise an additional 2.5% in income.

Mr Goodall said that this was representative of the "awareness of ConFor's leading role in the sector" and that it would help the organisation continue to grow.

"The more members ConFor has, the more effectively we can represent the sector's interests, and in turn the more new members we will attract," said Mr Goodall.

"A key objective for 2008 and beyond will be to maintain this virtuous circle."
