Frank Bruno confirmed as NETTA dinner speaker
24 April 2019Former world boxing champion Frank Bruno will be guest speaker at the North East Timber Trade Association (NETTA) dinner on June 13.
The boxer, who was one of the UK’s most popular sportspersons in the 1980s and 1990s, scaled the boxing summit by beating Oliver McCall at a packed Wembley Stadium in 1995 to win the WBC heavyweight title.
He also fought Mike Tyson twice in 1989 and 1996 and fellow Brit Lennox Lewis in 1993. Frank scored 38 knockouts in 40 wins, while recording five losses.
