Howarth makes a splash in the community

Howarth Timber and Building Supplies continues to make a splash in the community, sponsoring a fishing event for people with disabilities in South Yorkshire.

The skills event, organised by the Masonic Fishing Charity (MTSFC), was held at the Delves fishery in Thorne and involved a group of volunteers teaming up with 15 people from the local area to take part in an angling competition.

The Masonic Fishing Charity aims to give a one-to-one interactive fishing and countryside experience to people with special needs.

Those who took part in the day were from Doncaster Inclusive Centre for Excellence, which provides activities, events and services for people with disabilities. Two residents from Harry Priestly House care home in Thorne also took part.

Howarth supported the event by providing refreshments and organising for the ponds to be used free of charge.
