INSITE11 focuses on refurbishment

The low-carbon and sustainable housing conference and exhibition Insite11 is taking place at the BRE on October 4-5.

The event, organised by the Modern Built Environment KTN, BRE and the National Refurbishment Centre, has an emphasis on refurbishment, featuring an exhibition of three zones - innovation, international and refurbishment.

An exhibition of more than 50 refurbishment innovations that aim to transform the retrofit sector will feature.

The INSITE conference will include speakers Chris Jofeh, of Arup, who will cover making the business case for retrofit, and the government’s chief construction adviser Paul Morrell who will speak on the Low Carbon Growth Innovation Team.

Other speakers will include Peter Matthew, deputy director of climate change and sustainable buildings at the Department for Communities and Local Government.
