Jake Meyer aiming for K2 summit

18 June 2018

The well-known Meyer timber industry family hopes to have a member summit one of the world’s most difficult mountains this summer.

Jake Meyer is a second nephew of Consolidated Timber Holdings (CTH) chairman Nick Meyer and already holds the accolade of being the youngest person to climb Mount Everest at aged 21 taking the title away from Bear Grylls.

He has set off on his third attempt to scale the second highest mountain in the world K2 in Pakistan.

CTH said it was proud to sponsor Jake and hopes to see the CTH flag flying on the top of K2 sometime in August.

On his last expedition to K2, Mr Meyer raised £30,000 for the charity Walking With The Wounded. All proceeds from the fundraising will once again go to the charity.
