London seminar on Brazil timber trade

15 May 2017

The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and Embassy of Brazil in London are combining on a seminar to give the timber trade an update on the South American country’s wood products sector.

This invitation only seminar on June 1 will bring together leading stakeholders in the timber market in Brazil to present an overview of the market, its regulatory framework and some of the country’s most attractive trade opportunities.

Speakers will include representatives from the exporting private sector, the Brazilian Association of Mechanically Processed Timber (ABIMCI), the Brazilian Tree Industry Association (IBA) and the director of the Brazilian Forest Service in the Ministry of the Environment of Brazil.

Timber Trade Federation members will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings with Brazilian companies coming to London to present their products.

Brazil accounts for over half of all timber exports from South America with Europe being a major destination for mouldings, sawn timber, plywood, veneers, joinery and furniture.
