Müller leaves Weinig

12 September 2019

Weinig’s head of communications, Klaus Müller, has left the company.

Mr Müller can look back on a remarkable 50 years with the technology provider for solid wood processing. During his career he has had many roles, the first of which was as a trainer on an international level in the field of tooling. He then carried out product and sales training for new Weinig sales staff, improving their technical knowledge.

Mr Müller then became responsible for the management of trade fairs and, in 2004, he was appointed head of marketing communications. From this point on, Klaus Müller was also the single point of contact for trade journalists from all over the world.

During his career, he witnessed Weinig’s rapid development into a supplier for the entire value chain of solid wood processing. The company’s product portfolio underwent technological change from simple four-siders to hi-tech automated machines and from manually operated single machines to fully digital system solutions.

The group’s marketing activities will be restructured. Oliver Kunzweiler has taken over as head of the central strategic group marketing and has also assumed operational management of marketing for the solid wood division. The graduate mechanical engineer started his professional career as a development engineer for precision tools. This was followed by leading positions in the areas of product management, international sales and marketing at well-known companies in the automotive supply industry. Since joining Weinig in 2015, Mr Kunzweiler has been responsible for the group’s technical marketing.
