Moralt appoints second UK distributor28 October 2019
German high-performance door blank manufacturer Moralt AG, has expanded its distribution network in the UK with the appointment of a second distributor, bolstering its presence and distribution channels in the market.
Having enjoyed a long-standing and successful partnership with the incumbent James Latham for more than 12 years, the Bavarian-based business has now agreed a deal with Falcon Panel Products, which will also distribute its FireSmoke and FireSound ranges.
“This is an exciting appointment for us and one which reflects the significance we place in the UK market and the importance of our plans to broaden sales here,” said Klaus Feile, managing director of Moralt.
“James Latham has done a tremendous job in building and marketing the Moralt brand name in the UK. They are a highly respected distributor, their knowledge of the performance door market is exceptional, and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.

Moralt’s business continues to prosper, following a €1m investment in 2016 when the business moved to its new factory in Hausham. It has already invested a further €500,000 this year, optimising production by streamlining manufacturing processes and logistics and further investment and development is planned for 2020. In addition, as part of an employee benefit plan, Moralt has recently issued shares to its employees, reflecting the company’s new ownership culture.
Worldwide market demand for Moralt’s high performance technical door blanks is growing all the time with China and Dubai both becoming important markets. Two of Dubai’s newest and most prestigious projects – the EXPO CoEx Centre and the Kempinski Hotel recently specified a combined total of more than 550 FireSound internal acoustic door blanks.
