Multimodal logistics exhibition to highlight disruptive technologies

26 March 2018

The effects of disruptive new technologies in logistics will be high on the agenda at this year’s Multimodal, the UK and Ireland’s leading logistics and supply chain show, taking place on May 1-3 at Birmingham NEC.

Hundreds of exhibitors from leading logistics companies, including Associated British Ports, have already signed up for the 2018 event.

“With Brexit imminent and disruptive new technologies affecting the traditional supply chain model, it is now more important than ever to listen and learn from the experts,” said Robert Jervis, logistics portfolio director, Clarion Events.

On the first day, a Brexit briefing from the Chartered Institute to Logistics and Transport (CILT) will explore what is being hailed the ‘silver bullet’ for the UK – Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status.

On the second day, the Irish International Freight Association, Agency Sector Management, and the British International Freight Association (BIFA host ‘a Brexit discussion from both sides of the border’.

Last year, Multimodal welcomed a record-breaking 9,449 specialists from across the supply chain industry, a figure expected to be surpassed this year.
