Over 9,500 supply chain decision makers are expected to attend Multimodal, the freight transport and logistics exhibition, now in its 11th year, and held at Birmingham NEC from May 1-3.

Some 300 confirmed exhibitors will be at the event, including Malcolm Logistics, Clipper Logistics, the Mediterranean Shipping Company (UK) Ltd, and Kuehne + Nagel.

On the first day, a Brexit briefing from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) will explore what is being hailed the ‘silver bullet’ for the UK – Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status.

On the second day, the Irish International Freight Association (IIFA), Agency Sector Management (ASM), and the British International Freight Association (BIFA) host ‘a Brexit discussion from both sides of the border’.

Meantime Communications and Peel Ports Group, have pledged their support for an exclusive network for young people in logistics which will be launched at the show.

“Multimodal provides the perfect platform to launch an initiative which has the future of our industry in mind,” said Robert Jervis, logistics portfolio director, Clarion Events.

“Our workshop and seminar programme features over 20 panels and workshops led by dozens of industry leaders, debating the most important issues facing our industry today,” added Mr Jervis. Free registration is possible here
