23 December 2013

New home registrations were up 30% in the rolling quarter September to November, compared to a year ago.

NHBC’s latest figures show 34,356 new homes were registered in the quarter (2012: 26,420). In November alone a 20% increase was recorded.

“Our November statistics have continued the strong and consistent volume growth witnessed throughout 2013, compared with registration figures in the years after the financial crash,” said NHBC commercial director Richard Tamayo.

Private sector registrations during the quarter grew by 28% to 25,079, while public sector registrations were up 37% to 9,277.
