New MD at David Salisbury

After a record-breaking 2018 for David Salisbury Joinery the company is pleased to announce the appointment of Wes Kangurs as its new managing director as part of the next phase of its development.

Mr Kangurs has been operations director at the company for three years and a board director since 2014. He will be supported by an expanded board of directors, which includes Karen Bell, sales and marketing director, and Pat Clunie, finance director.

Having led the company to new heights over the past 12 months, David Salisbury will now take up the role of non-executive chairman.

He will still retain full ownership as well as involvement in several key areas, such as overall strategy and manufacturing software development, where he will continue to add value.

The company is entering 2019 in the best financial position it has ever been in, with over £600,000 having been invested in new manufacturing machinery over the past 12 months alone, ensuring the company is ready continue to retain its lead at the very forefront of orangery and conservatory production in the UK.

The growth strategy for 2019 includes developing the company’s already expanding share of the oak framed buildings sector, whilst targeting growth for its timber windows and doors business.

David Salisbury is a member of the British Woodworking Federation and Wood Windows Alliance.
