Staff from the P&A Group are gearing up for the London Marathon with a half marathon, to kick off a year of fund-raising.

They will run in the AngleseyHalf Marathon on Sunday March 4, following the recent announcement that the company will be supporting Action For Children as its chosen charity for 2018.

Five employees will take on the course to raise vital funds for the charity, which helps children who need it the most.

Managing director Steve Morgan, finance director Andrew Baker and manager John Vaughan will use the event as the perfect opportunity to raise fitness levels ahead of the iconic event in London in April.

Speaking of the Half Marathon, Mr Morgan said: “The Anglesey half is a great opportunity not only for myself in preparation for the London Marathon, but also for other employees to get involved and kick start our fundraising for Action for Children.

As a company, P&A takes employee fitness and wellbeing very seriously and provides twice weekly training sessions for staff to take advantage of.

This year, there are plans for 50 to run in the Flintshire 10k challenge dressed as pandas. Other planned events for 2018 include marathons, triathlons, 10k road races and more.
