P&A Group’s MD honoured at business awards
13 November 2019Steve Morgan, managing director of the P&A Group of companies and whose family has been in the timber manufacturing industry for five generations, was presented with the Lord Barry Jones Legacy Award at the Flintshire Business Awards. The award was in recognition of his outstanding services to local business and the economy.
Speaking about the award, Steve said:
“To be presented with the Lord Barry Jones Legacy Award is very special and I feel hugely honoured,” said Mr Morgan.
“I am a firm believer in supporting the local community whether this is through employment, fund-raising for charities or partnering with higher education and local schools. Flintshire has played an integral part in the success of our business and will continue to do so as we seek to expand over the coming years.”
Prior to being presented with this Award, Mr Morgan was the winner of the Flintshire Business Person of the Year Award in 2015 and the P&A Group sponsored the Best Company to Work For category in 2018 and 2019.
The Legacy Award was launched to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Flintshire Business Awards where it was awarded to Lord Barry Jones for his lifetime contribution to economic growth in Flintshire. It was subsequently renamed the Lord Barry Jones Legacy Award and every year Lord Jones presents it to someone who also will leave a lasting legacy as a result of their contribution to economic growth in Flintshire.
