Pallet production on rising trend
22 November 2014European pallet production has increaed substantially over the past decade, according to the European Federation of Wooden Pallet and Packaging Manufacturers (FEFPEB).
The organisation’s latest statistics, presented at FEFPEB’s recently congress in Brussels, reveal that 401 million pallets were produced in 2013, up from million in 2010 and 339 million in 2006.
There has also been “significant” price inflation on pallet timber, according to reports from German, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK.
Next year’s FEFPEB Congress will be held in Cork, Ireland, from October 28-30.
