UK roof truss giant Pasquill has won a prestigious Saint-Gobain Emerald Environment Award.

This award is for “outstanding positive environmental improvements” which have been made by the business in recent years.

The annual Saint-Gobain Diamonds Rubies Emeralds Awards Ceremony, held at Les Miroirs in Paris recognises the Saint-Gobain businesses that have implemented significant environmental, health and safety progresses across the global network.

Fifteen awards are handed out each year, comprising of five health Rubies, five safety performance Diamonds and five environmental Emeralds. Pasquill was awarded this accolade for its key environmental improvements, including a 16% reduction in energy since 2015.

This was achieved by implementing company-wide energy saving solutions, such as upgrading lighting to energy saving products and auto-switch on/off of extraction equipment.

In addition to this, all raw materials within Pasquill are now obtained from certifiable sustainable sources, and material wastages are being recycled where possible. Igor Marcius, site operations manager at Redhill, collected the award on behalf of Pasquill.
