Patents granted for Qwood composite bead

Qwood has now sold over 8million metres of its timber composite bars and beads in the UK for use with timber windows and doors. Qwood’s innovative and paintable wood composite profiles don’t rot or warp, and they are knot-free.

The company stated “These features ensure timber window, conservatories, and door joiners have less waste, and save time and money when they utilise Qwood profiles in their work.”

“Qwood’s product development team are always looking into ways of improving existing profiles or manufacturing brand new ones. When Qwood creates a completely unique product, it can be necessary to protect it as intellectual property by applying for a patent.”
