North Wales builders merchant Richard Williams has joined H&B merchant group.

The company has a £12m turnover and two branches – one in Llandudno Junction and one in Ruthin – but it has expansion plans.

Nigel Stewart, who is a director along with his brother Rob, said the company was attracted by H&B’s ethos. “When we considered joining we asked our current supplier base for feedback and we were amazed with the excellent reaction,” he said.

H&B managing director Nick Lander said Richard Williams was a “great fit” for H&B as it was a business with “huge tradition and massive potential”.

H&B was founded 20 years ago and now has more than 74 members with a combined turnover of nearly £1bn.
