Robert Price acquires Gower Timber

Gower Timber, based in Penclawdd on the north side of the Gower peninsular, is predominantly a timber merchant, holding a substantial range of timber and board products but also stocks and sells a large array of general building materials. An onsite mill offers timber cutting, planing and a timber treatment service.

Robert Price said Gower would work closely with the group’s existing mill at Taffs Well, and would enhance and extend the group’s current timber specialisation, simultaneously improving branch coverage in the western reaches of its network.

“We will also be further developing the builders’ merchant element, working closely with our existing branch at Somerset Place, in Swansea city centre,” it said.

Gower Timber will continue to trade as a separate business under the Gower Timber banner.
