Scottish sawmiller Gordon Timber has celebrated the opening of a purpose-built new office at its Nairn base.

The construction of the new building used timber from its sawmill, showcasing locally grown softwood. “The new building has enabled us to gather all office based staff in one modern facility, creating a positive environment to work in,” said joint managing director Scott Gordon.

“The completion of the new building is consistent with our drive to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s operations.”

Ronald Gordon, joint managing director, said the new facility underlined to employees, customers and suppliers that the company was committed to remaining a major player in the British sawmilling sector.

Building designer, Robert Carrick of CMM Architects, cut the ribbon officially opening the facility.
