Tilhill Forestry wins multiple awards - again

Tilhill Forestry has won multiple awards across different categories in the 2018 Woodlands Competition at the Royal Welsh Show.

Senior forest manager, Iwan Parry†entered four woodlands into the Royal Welsh Show Woodlands Competition winning 12 different prizes.

To complete the accolades, Iwan Parry also won the prestigious ICF Challenge Trophy for the Best Professional Management in all†Woodland Classes.

The list of winning woodlands are:
Cresselly Woodland, owned by Burns Pet Nutrition Ltd, which won the gold medal for the best community or public access woodland, the silver for the best managed woodland 11-50ha and the bronze for the best broadleaf Stand over 40 years old.

Cresselly also won The Meirion Davies Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup awarded to the Best Community Woodland or Public Access Woodland in Stand Class I.

Taliaris Woodland, owned by Cambrian Woodlands Ltd, won the gold medal for the best conifer stand over 30 years old and the bronze for the best managed woodland 51-200ha.

South Dairy Wood, owned by Stellar Asset Management won gold for the best conifer stand 11-30 years old and silver for the best broadleaf stand 11-40 years old.

South Dairy Wood also won The Charles Shakerley Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup awarded to the Best Conifer Entry in Stand Classes D, E & F'.

Amroth Woodland, owned by Burns Pet Nutrition Ltd won bronze for the best conifer stand over 30 years old.

Amroth also won The Wilson Memorial Shield awarded to the ‘Forester or Manager of a privately owned woodland gaining the highest cumulative number of points for the Stand Classes entered’.
