Timber boosts Estonia's industrial production

Estonia’s timber industry made a significant contribution to the 3% growth in the country’s industrial production in August.

According to Statistics Estonia, the growth was driven by manufacturing, with production of timber and timber products making the biggest contribution.

Overall manufacturing production was up 6% on August 2013, while timber and timber products output rose by 4.7%. Mining and energy production both declined.
