TTJ Awards voting

12 May 2010

TTJ Awards 2011 voting will be under way shortly. Companies qualifying to vote will be contacted by DUO Marketing Services over the next few weeks – either by mail or by telephone.

Qualifying companies will first be invited to cast their vote by mail. A form will be sent during the last two weeks of May to complete and return by the end of June. Each form will be personalised and include a unique reference number, and simple instructions will guide voters through the process.

The mailing will be followed by telephone canvassers who will contact qualifying companies who have not already voted via the mailing, and ask them to vote, taking nominations over the phone. DUO Marketing aims to contact everyone by the middle of June.

The voting process is conducted under tight control and confidentially by DUO Marketing Services, none of the TTJ employees see the individual votes or voters.

Qualifying voters include key personnel who have the authority to purchase timber. The list of voters is compiled from a number or sources including subscribers to TTJ, appropriate entries in the TTJ Address Book and Buyer’s Guide, members of the BWF and members of the BMF.

The Awards Ceremony, to take place at TheGrand Hall, Grand Connaught Rooms,, London on September 15, will be hosted by Sarah Beeny.

The Timber Trader of the Year award goes to the company receiving most votes overall.

Other voting categories for the year are Softwood Trader, Hardwood Trader, Panels Trader, Plywood Trader and Small Timber Business.

Five TTJ Awards judged by independent panels are Excellence in Marketing, Environmental Achievement, Achievement in Engineered Timber, Market Development and Career Development.
