UK Softwood Conference to cover important updates on latest market dynamics

The UK Timber Trade Federation’s (TTF) annual Softwood Conference on March 31 will address softwood market dynamics against a backdrop of both the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit.

The 10am-1pm GMT virtual event on Zoom will see Noble Francis, economics director of the Construction Products Association (CPA), give an important update on the UK economy and the performance / projections of the construction products sector.

Other speakers at the event include, Olle Berg, EVP market and business development of Setra; Nick Moore, managing director of Timber Trends; Kevin Hayes, managing director of AKZ Timber; and Matti Mikola, managing director of the Federation of Finish Woodworking Industries.

Attendees to the event will learn about the impact of Covid-19 on the softwood market, market updates from Scandinavia, Central Europe, the Baltics, US, and the UK, the outlook for 2021 following on from the pandemic, what the future of trade looks like, and the forecast for the construction and housing sector in the UK.
