Vecoplan to host online wood biomass presentation

11 August 2020

Following the success of its 360° Days online event in May, which covered recycling and waste treatment, Vecoplan has organised a second one, this time for the wood biomass sector. The two day event will be streamed on September 9-10.

During the event, Vecoplan will show participants that it not only offers individual components in the processing of wood leftovers and biomass, but also complete concepts including assembly and service. During the live presentation from the company’s technology centre, participants will be able to access various thematic blocks online and learn all about innovations in the wood biomass division. Participants can access the topic that interests them the most, ask questions and take part in discussions.

Among other products, the Vecoplan experts will be presenting the VHZ series. This compact single-shaft shredder is ideal for wood processing companies – and it can also be used to process residual wood, (coarse) chipboard, hard and soft wood waste and even tree barks. The presentation will be focusing on specific applications and customer requirements.

In a second block of topics, the experts will demonstrate the sample shredding of various materials using the VHZ in combination with the new Vecoplan Pallet Crusher VPC 1600. This pre-shredder increases the throughput of the VHZ shredder by up to 50% for large-volume and bulky components such as pallets, boxes and cable drums. These two topics are particularly interesting for timber companies, fuel producers and waste wood processors.

For the sawmill disposal segment, Vecoplan will also be presenting drum chippers and other system components that can be combined to form integrated overall solutions, which are not only used in sawmills, but also by wood chip producers, in biomass CHP (combined heat and power) plants and in the production of plywood boards.

Biomass CHP plants will be covered in the final thematic block, during which the experts will provide information about solutions for waste wood processing plants. The particular focus here will be on storage.

The English-speaking sessions will be held in the morning, the German-speaking sessions in the afternoon. During the presentation, participants can ask questions, which will be collected and answered in detail at the end of each presentation.
