AREA MANAGER

Glennon Brothers, one of the leading timber processors in the British Isles, is in the middle of a major expansion drive, and as a result a vacancy has arisen for an Area Manager. The job involves selling on behalf of the Group’s two Scottish operations, Adam Wilson & Sons, based in Troon, and Windymains Timber, based in Humbie, near Edinburgh, as well as its Irish operations (www.glennonbrothers.com). Glennon Brothers provides a one stop shop solution for sawn softwood in the British Isles and predominantly sells into the builders’ merchant, pallet manufacturing, and fencing sectors.

The Job:
This is a field sales roles, covering Scotland and the North East of England, involving repeat selling to an established customer base as well as generating new business. Candidates will be fully responsible for proactively managing their accounts, from achieving sales targets, to maintaining a high level of customer service.

The Candidate:
This position would suit an ambitious, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, with a proven ability in selling timber or building products. Good communication skills are essential as well as the ability to deal with people at all levels of the organisation.
