Greenpeace shows tree sex video

6 August, 2008

Greenpeace has produced a video of trees 'making love' in an effort to further highlight illegal logging.

The environmental group has posted the “Forest Love” clip on its international website as it seeks to highlight the issue of illegal logging before a crucial European Commission (EC) vote in September.

The video depicts trees touching and fondling each other, culminating in the branches shaking together.

A vote on introducing possible legislation to make the import of illegally logged timber an offence was meant to be taken in July but has now been delayed until September 10, when commissioners return from the summer holidays.

Greenpeace is urging people to take pictures of themselves in a forest which it will use in a collaborative video it aims to show to the EC in September.
