An extension to Alpine Automation’s Alpine Integrated Management System (AiMS Central) is allowing Pace Timber Engineering staff to view the database from any location.

Roof designs and pricings can now be carried out in any of Pace’s facilities using the AiMS Central database which is hosted on the server at Pace’s Bleak Hall site in Milton Keynes. Previously, only users at the Bleak Hall site could access the database.

The company’s management team can monitor production progress and access Alpine’s View design software from any location at any time.

Pace was the first company to install the AiMS Central system five years ago. Since then, Truro-based Alpine Automation has installed the software at a rate of one per month.

Phil Hart, general manager of Pace Timber Engineering, said the power and flexibility of the database and its interactive link with the design software has improved workflow.
