Hardwood furniture maker Stewart Linford is using an Altendorf sliding table saw to help its fast-growing business.

The Altendorf, which cost around £11,000, replaced a Wadkin SW panel saw.

Facilities/production control manager Niall Redmond ordered an F45 saw with a short (2250mm) table including Digit X and Digit L options, installed by Altendorf area dealer Trimbridge Machine Sales.

He said: “It has made a huge difference to our production times. It has speeded things up considerably, mainly with not having to run through anything twice, and I reckon that, in time alone, our F45 saves us around £7,500 per year.”

Employees from Stewart Linford’s cabinet and table shops, plus the mill, use the saw and say it produces more precise mitres, cornices and plinths than they could achieve before.
