Arnold Laver Timber World has added a second Weinig Powermat moulder to its Manningham Sawmills facility at Bradford to help keep pace with customer demands.
The Powermat, which represents a £150,000 investment, will help the company meet customer demand for faster deliveries, one-off profiles and quality.
The 9x6in machine has seven tool holders and a cutting speed of 12,000rpm. The existing 12x6in Powermat has an 8,000rpm cutting speed.
Arnold Laver said PowerLock tooling has reduced tool change over and downtime, greatly improving productivity.
Supporting tool room equipment also bought by the company includes a Rondamat 960 profile grinder and Opti Control measuring stand.
