The service has been developed in association with the Bank of Scotland and, according to a Homag spokesperson, offers competitive rates and “the convenience of arranging finance at the same time as selecting machinery”.

“It can make the whole purchase process faster and easier and can really help the company that knows it needs to invest, but is putting it off because they have to go through the time-consuming process of arranging finance elsewhere. And because it’s run in association with a major bank, it’s very secure.”

Machines on display had a label detailing what the contract hire payment would be using Homag Finance: a compact Holzma HPP250 beam saw and Week Venture 1 CNC machining centre, for instance, added up to a £700 a week.

The service includes hire purchase arrangements, interest free credit, insurance and payment holiday options.

The company did not reveal how many machines were sold using Homag Finance, but hailed W6 as a success, with 25 orders taken, adding up to a seven figure sales total.

Among the machine launches was the Weeke BHX single operator CNC machining centre which has multi-head tools working above and below so two panels can be processed simultaneously.

The Ligmatech brand was represented by a ZHR05 single-sided throughfeed edgebander set up for one-man operation.
