Construction students at Guildford College, Surrey, are among the first to benefit from Makita (UK) Ltd’s “Be Safe” campaign.
More than 50 first and second year students watched Keith Baker, one of Makita’s technical demonstration team, present safety guidelines and show the correct use of a range of tools.
About 100 colleges running construction training courses have so far booked the Be Safe demonstration, which aims to increase safety knowledge and practice when using power tools in the workplace.
