If a company using one of Bes Bollmann‘s latest kiln control systems runs into a problem, they can get Bes Bollmann to sort it.
One of the key features of its new OCS and TCS controls is a smart media card which constantly monitors and records drying conditions and the performance of the Bes Bollmann kiln.
“If there is a problem or a query, the operator can simply remove the smart card, mail it to us and we’ll analyse the data and provide the answer,” said managing director Jan Luttikhuis.
“The information from the card can also be printed out for further analysis and to monitor the operator’s performance and kiln usage.”
Another aspect of the control systems which the company highlighted at the show were the special moisture probes. “These can communicate data to the user’s computer network via a wireless system (with OCS system using up to eight probes and the TCS system 16),” said Mr Luttikhuis. “This is far less cumbersome than probes connected by wire.”
He added that both systems can also be used in conjunction with core-temperature probes.
Bes Bollmann also showed a new basic control system, CCS, which can be used for auto-generation of drying programs.
