Testing of laminate flooring products to meet the new CELQ (Certified European Laminate Quality) quality label is getting underway.
Products will be tested against criteria based on the European Standard of Laminate Flooring EN 13329. The criteria will be extended according to requirements.
A special CELQ committee, working in conjunction with the European Producers of Laminate Flooring and test institutes, has developed detailed endorsement criteria. All test institutes are accredited to DIN EN ISO IEC 17025, which relates to general conditions governing the proficiency of test and calibration laboratories.
The CELQ label, which represents a valid RAD quality mark from the start of 2005, was officially launched at Domotex on January 16.
