Excel Building Solutions has appointed Scotland’s first ‘Turbofill’ installer of Warmcel 500 high performance insulation for timber frame walls, floors and roofs.
Clyde Insulation Contracts (UK) Ltd, of Falkirk, can now Turbofill Excel’s factory-manufactured Tradis panels or site-built closed panel constructions with Warmcel 500, which is made from 100% recycled paper.
The Turbofill injection system features a nozzle similar to those used on refuelling rigs seen in Grand Prix Formula One pit lanes. The nozzle is docked with the panel or cassette via pre-drilled access holes, while a pressure sensing system ensures the void is completely filled to the correct density.
Excel says its load-bearing EVT panels, incorporating Warmcel 500, exceeded 71 minutes fire resistance when exposed to temperatures of almost 1,000?C in official fire tests.
