The Portsmouth manufacturer recently supplied the first building, a housing association apartment block in Ilford built by Hollybrook Residential, to comply with the FSC Project Certification Standard and is “on a mission to ensure that as many specifiers of timber-based products as possible understand the importance of [environmental] chain of custody certification”.

The doors for the Ilford project, said Ahmarra sales manager Martin Stephens, comprised European oak veneer on a Streboard chipboard core, comprising 70% FSC-certified material.

“The frames, lining and lippings were also FSC-certified,” said Mr Stephens.
