System TM has launched a series of optimising cross-cut saws and the first of its kind in the world is to be installed at Greenwood Forest Products, Sheffield.
Specifically designed for companies with fewer cutting requirements, the saw, along with other cutting machinery, will make the company the first to offer dovetailed drawer boxes made through a fully automated line.
The opti-kap 2002 saw has the capacity to produce in excess of 10,000 boxes a week for the company which makes pine furniture.
There are three models in the 2000 series – the 2001with full optimisation, the 2002 which includes defect/quality marking and full optimisation and the 2003 which includes cross-cutting using a scanner for detection of defects.
