A variation on the standard Hoffmann keyway routing and dovetail jointing machine is enabling shopfitters and kitchen component manufacturers to produce complex geometric shapes.
The PU2-TL machine, which features a tilting table for setting the required angle of joints, is described as ideal for making asymmetrical components such as multi-faceted display units, cooker hoods or canopies. Non-rectangular shapes can be joined and the joints set at any angle, enabling pyramids and hexagonal tapered units to be made.
