Hoppings Softwood Products has booked a stand at Timber Expo 2012 double the size of its space this year.
Sales director Geoff Alcoe said the event had a “good feel about it” and that Hoppings would be following up a number of quality leads from a mixture of specifiers and merchants.
“It was a good show for the timber industry to exhibit innovative, sustainable and new products to a defined target audience wanting more from our industry,” he said. “Other larger exhibitions may get a vast audience, but timber may not be their priority. Timber Expo was different as it focused on timber and timber-related product.”
Marketing and technical director Adam Pulfer said the industry had needed a focused event.
“Timber Expo will deliver this for many years to come,” he said. “Timber as a building material has fantastic sustainability credentials and architects and timber buyers will want to continually improve their knowledge of timber products. Several architects who visited our stand stated that Timber Expo was a success because it was so focused and manageable. It was extremely well run, and the inclusion of TRADA’s In Touch with Timber seminars and the Wood Awards gave the two days extra weight.”
