The Health and Safety Executive has issued four new Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) to help employers eliminate or reduce fire and explosion risks from dangerous substances.

The ACOPs, which are in support of the Dangerous Subances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002, cover design of plant, equipment and workplaces; storage of dangerous substances; control and mitigation methods; safe maintenance, repair and cleaning procedures.
