Hoffman‘s dovetail key jointing system is being employed by a Warminster kitchen maker to create face frames for in-frame cabinet door designs.
Guild Anderson Furniture bought a Mörso guillotine for cutting haunch joints for rails, stiles and cross beams for frames. A bench-mounted Hoffman MU2 keyway router cuts the identical and opposing dovetail slots in the ends of components to be joined.
The company’s owner Nick Anderson said in-frame designs are desirable for bespoke cabinet furniture as they give a sense of individual craftsmanship.
