In the three months from July to September, figures from ACIMALL, the industry association respresenting Italian woodworking technology companies, show a 13.5% increase, continuing the trend started in the second half of 2005.
Foreign customers placed 11.3% more orders than in the same period last year, while Italian partners increased their orders by 21.3%. Prices grew by 2.2%.
Survey results also reveal that expectations for the next quarter look moderately optimistic, with a third of respondents predicting an increase in foreign orders, and 10% forecasting a rise in employment.
