A throughfeed Joos press from Homag UK has enabled Taylor Made Joinery Interiors Ltd to increase its production capacity.
The press, which was installed at the start of the year, has enabled Taylor Made to prepare a workpiece for pressing off the press, while another is loaded onto the infeed conveyor, another is being pressed and a fourth is off-loaded at the outfeed.
This has been combined with the Joos ABS system, which detects disruptions or obstructions across the full platen surface and automatically cancels the pressing process for inspection.
Taylor Made added that the use of the Okotherm Joos system had sped up the pressing process by ensuring an equal temperature distribution across the platerns and providing it with the ability to control the temperature of individual platens, optimising its production process and ensuring the quality of the end product.
