Metso Panelboard has won a €17m order to supply China with its first high capacity continuous particleboard line.
Deliveries to Fuzhou Wood-Based Panel Plant in Fujian Province will begin in early 2004 and the line is due to start up during the first half of 2005.
Metso Panelboard will deliver all the key equipment, engineering services and process automation for the main production line from woodyard to intermediate storage.
The equipment includes ClassiFormer forming machines and a Metso Contipress with a cooling zone for continuous pressing.
Annual production capacity will be around 255,000m3 – the highest in the country – and the particleboard will be used in furniture production and construction.
This is Metso Panelboard’s second panelboard line order from China which is one of the main growth market areas in the industry.
