Building components supplier MiTek and engineered lumber products giant Trus Joist have linked their software to simplify life for customers.
Walls input to the MiTek 20/20 layout programme can now be exported directly into the Trus Joist TJ-Xpert programme where TJI Joist floors can be applied. Following design of the beams in TJ-Xpert, the materials can be imported into MiTek’s MBA management programme.
Trusses and TJI Joists can therefore be combined in quotations and on invoices.
Trus Joist’s UK manager James Sweet said: ‘We have a number of customers, common to both companies who have been asking for these links. Input and costing will be simplified.’
