David Wilkin, has been promoted to become sales development manager at North Yorkshire Timber. He is now responsible for the sales team based at the company’s Northallerton headquarters, one of NYT’s five sales operations across Yorkshire and the North East.
Mr Wilkin joined NYT 18 years ago and has worked on counter sales, telephone sales and as a representative.
His appointment is part of an ambitious programme of growth for the company which has recently seen a management buy in and leading industry figure Richard Fawcett, the Yorkshire-based entrepreneur, join as chairman. Over the next five years the company intends to increase turnover from £10m to £15m and take on another 25 staff, bringing the total to 125.
