David Campbell, a long-standing member of the timber trade, died on November 9 after a long illness.
Mr Campbell’s career started on leaving school when he joined the Price & Pierce agency in its London, Liverpool and Canadian offices. He later joined William Brandts (Wallply) Ltd, progressing to the position of managing director. In 1976 he started his own agency, Lahden Enterprises, specialising in products from Scandinavia. This group is still trading today under the Pallas Plywood Ltd name.
Mr Campbell will be sadly missed not only by his wife Joy and their two sons but by all trade members who were associated with him.
