I-joist and wood fibre insulation board manufacturer Steico opted for a large presence at Interbuild to showcase its range of products.
Its Steicojoists were demonstrated in wall and roof applications to show visitors they can be used for a whole house structure, not merely floors.
Steico Ltd managing director Mark Wilson said builders visiting the show were now a lot more switched on to sustainability issues than they used to be. And architects were also more ready to accept materials like Steico’s hemp-based insulation.
“This is not a mainstream ‘green’ show, but people are interested in the sustainability side of building now,” said Mr Wilson.
